You’re going to receive a welcome email from us that contains information about your preferred club as well as pricing—check your spam folder if you can’t find it right away!

A member of our team will contact you by phone, email or text to discuss your vision of boating and how we can make it a reality.

Here are some examples of questions you should ask us:

How does your pricing compare to other boat clubs?

Can I join even if I’ve never driven a boat before?

What kind of boats are available at the Club near me?

How easy is it to get a reservation? Can I see how much availability there is at my preferred club before I commit?

Are there any extra fees or restrictions on your memberships?

You may have many other questions too, but if you’re shopping around these are great questions to start with!

Memberships include a complimentary on-the-water orientation and safety session with one of our experienced staff members, and GBC swag like a long-sleeved sun shirt and hat!

When you join you’ll select a home club where you’ll make the majority of your reservations, but you can also reserve at our other locations, which means you’ve got our entire fleet at your fingertips.

We also host regular giveaways and special contests for members only so make sure you read our e-newsletter when it hits your inbox!

Members may receive a fuel credit when your friends and family join at our available Clubs.

Follow us on Instagram to see our weekend availability every Wednesday!

In order to provide all of our members with the best possible boat club experience, we limit the number of memberships available at each location. This way, we’re better able to ensure that members are able to reserve the boats they want, when they want.

When a location is full, prospective new members are added to a waitlist based on the date of their inquiry.

If the location you’re interested in is full and you don’t wish to wait, you can join at another location while remaining on the waitlist for your preferred location. Members can reserve boats at any of locations, regardless of their home club, with some restrictions.

Before you join, we’ll use your name, email, phone number and any other information you disclose to us for the purposes of contacting about Gulfstream Boat Club membership and promotions only.

After you join, we’ll use your information to update you about information pertinent to the Club. We’ll send you updates about your reservations, cancellations, membership renewals, plus weather and Club closures, new boats added to the fleet, new locations available for reservations and special promotions.

Make sure you add marketing@gulfstreamboatclub.com and sales@gulfstreamboatclub.com to your contacts to ensure you don’t miss any important updates from us!

We will never, ever sell or share your information with any third party. If at any point you wish to be removed from our promotions mailing list, contact marketing@gulfstreamboatclub.com, or hit the unsubscribe button in the email.

Our 25 hour package is a great choice for anyone who wants to try GBC before committing to a longer term.

Unlimited packages are available for 6, 12, and 24 months, and are ideal for members who want to spend the maximum amount of time on the water, or who have many beloved water-based activities.

Our plans are great choices for local business owners who want a unique way of entertaining clients or providing a perk to their staff! Interested in joining with your business? Ask our Member Services team for more information.

RESERVATIONS

We have a 2 hour minimum and 8 hour maximum for all reservations. We are open from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. Our Hypoluxo, Palm Beach Gardens, Tampa, and St. Pete-Tierra Verde locations allow early outs and late returns, as long as the sun is up. Members must confirm their start and end time with our Member Services team within 24 hours of their reservation start time.

To extend your reservation after you have already picked up the boat, you must contact Member Services first, as there may be a reservation already in place for your boat.

The primary member and any immediate family member or partner over the age of 25, and whose name is included in the membership account, can make a reservation and use a boat. Contact Member Services to add names of family members at your residence to your account for easy reservations and check-outs.

Members cannot make reservations on behalf of non-members. Memberships cannot be shared between multiple households, except corporate memberships.

The most convenient way to reserve a boat is to use our online reservation system. You can visit our website or download the Boat Club App on your iPhone or Android. On our website, you’ll find that option in our menu under “LOGIN”. This member portal will allow you to reserve any available boat at any of our full-service locations (please note that you are able to reserve boats outside of your home marina only once a month.) You’ll receive a confirmation email immediately after booking and a reminder email before your reservation.

For last minute reservations within less than 24 hours of your preferred reservation time, please contact our Member Services team for assistance.

You can also use the member portal to cancel an existing reservation, provided it is at least 48 hours before your reservation start time.

To cancel a reservation more than 48 hours before the start time, you can use our online reservation portal. There is no fee to cancel a reservation with more than 48 hours notice. To cancel a reservation with less than 48 hours notice you’ll need to contact Member Services for assistance at (888) 702-2256. There is a $100 fee to cancel your reservation within less than 48 hours, including if you do not use your reservation.

If the Club must cancel your reservation due to weather conditions or safety reasons, there is no fee.

Members and their immediate family members or partners, who are over the age of 25 can drive the boats, and no boating license is required. We recommend that anyone who is planning on driving the boat take a boating lesson to learn how to drive the boat, navigate local waterways, and slip the boat.

We provide complimentary boating lessons to all new members—an hour with one of our experienced staff members who will show you how to operate the boat safely and effectively. If you need a refresher, or if another member of your family would like to learn, contact the team at your home marina to schedule an hour with a captain.

We have a team of experienced captains who can be hired for charters, depending on availability. We recommend you inquire about hiring a captain at least 7 days before your reservation. Charter captains are available for an additional fee of $50/hour.

SAFETY

Yes! We require each new member to complete a 1 hour orientation with a captain. We review all on-board safety equipment, boat operation, channel markers and any questions you may have about the boats and surrounding area. This orientation will not count towards your hours, however you do pay for fuel.

Joining with your spouse or a family member? Anyone who may operate the boat should participate in this orientation session.

Every boat has adult-size life jackets to match the boat’s maximum capacity, throwable flotation square, flares, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, dock lines, and some boats come with fenders. We have youth and child-size life jackets available—please tell our staff how many you need when you make your reservation or arrive at the dock.

If something happens while you’re on the water that damages the boat, we ask that you notify us immediately by phone, or immediately upon your return. Each time you return a boat to the dock, a member of our team will fully assess the boat for any damage.

If something happens while you’re on the water that renders your boat undriveable or unsafe to drive please contact the team at the marina you reserved from straight away to provide a description of your issue and location. As long as it is safe to do so, you must remain with the boat. Our team will provide you with more instructions and assistance when you call.

In the event of a medical emergency, your first call should be to 911. Once help is on the way, please contact the location you reserved from. If you can return to the marina safely, please do so. Let our our team at the marina know you’re on your way so we can meet you at the dock and provide assistance. If your entire party must leave the boat where it is, please contact the location you departed from and provide us with details of where you have left the boat. Please ensure the engine is off, that the boat is secured—either tied off or anchored—and that you have removed your valuables.

ACTIVITIES

The most popular activities people do are cruising, snorkeling, and fishing. There are many excellent nearby water-side restaurants with docks that you can boat to for lunch or a mid-afternoon snack. There are also many local hangouts in lakes and at sandbars along the intracoastal waterway that are popular with our members and the greater boating community. There are lots of spots both inshore and just offshore for beautiful snorkeling or great fishing—if you need rods or extra masks or snorkels, just ask!

We love giving our members recommendations. When you arrive at the dock, ask your dockhands for some suggestions and directions.

Wakeboarding, tubing and waterskiing are also popular activities, however you must provide your own equipment for these activities. Members should be aware that they assume all responsibility for the safety of their guests and other boaters. We encourage all of our members to practice safe boating, to be aware of your surroundings, depth, and other nearby boaters, and to never consume alcohol while operating a boat.

Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome. Members assume responsibility for their dog’s safety while at the marina and aboard the boat, as well as any damage caused by your dog to the boat.

On the East Coast, Members can go as north as Stuart and as south as North Miami. You may go 10 miles offshore. West Coast Members can go 15 miles offshore.
