Whether you're looking to relax, swim, or socialize, these sandbar spots near Gulf Stream Boat Club locations deliver unforgettable summer boat days!


Here are a few of our favorite sandbars that every boat club member should check out this summer:



Lake Boca Sandbar

Lake Boca is a top destination for boaters who love a social, vibrant atmosphere and Is a favorite for Gulf Stream Boat Club members from Delray Beach and Lighthouse Point. On weekends, the sandbar transforms into a party scene with floating rafts, music, and friendly boaters enjoying the sunshine. The shallow waters make it easy to wade around, and the area is surrounded by beautiful waterfront homes and condos.


How to Get There:

  • Located just inside the Boca Raton Inlet, Lake Boca is easily accessible via the Intracoastal Waterway.

  • If you’re coming from our Lighthouse Point location, head north on the Intracoastal and look for the boats anchored in the wide, shallow bay.

  • If you’re coming from our Delray Beach location, head south on the Intracoastal.


Nearby Restaurants:

  • Deck 84, just south of our Delray Beach club as you head towards Lake Boca, is a stylish American spot with views of the Intracoastal, a hopping bar, weekend brunch & outdoor seats.


  • The Waterstone Resort, a the south-east corner of the lake Is home to the Seaspray Grill, and an easy spot to pick up a tasty lunch to-go or to enjoy a chic waterfront dining experience.



Jupiter Sandbar

The Jupiter Sandbar, just north of the Jupiter Inlet, is known for its crystal-clear water, soft sandy bottom, and relaxed atmosphere. It’s a favorite for families and groups looking to swim, snorkel, and enjoy the scenic views of Jupiter’s lighthouse and waterfront mansions.


How to Get There:

  • Travel north from the Palm Beach Gardens club up the Intracoastal, past the A1A Bridge, then under the US 1 Bridge and Cato's Bridge. Before long, you'll see all the boats gathered in the shallow waters.


Nearby Restaurants:

  • Guanabanas – A tropical, open-air restaurant with delicious seafood and a great island vibe. You can dock your boat right outside!


  • Tiki 52 – a fantastic dockside restaurant just north of the sandbar offering fresh seafood, sandwiches, certified angus burgers, fabulous appetizers, a kids' menu, and a full-service bar. They'll even cook your catch!



Peanut Island

Peanut Island is one of the most unique sandbar destinations in Florida. This man-made island offers both a sandbar experience and a lush, tropical park with walking trails, picnic spots, and snorkeling areas. It’s the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation! It's easily accessible from both our Palm Beach Gardens or Hypoluxo locations.


How to Get There:

  • From our Palm Beach Gardens club, head south on the Intracoastal toward the Lake Worth Inlet.

  • From our Hypoluxo club, head north on the Intracoastal



Nearby Restaurants:

  • Sailfish Marina – A great spot to grab fresh seafood and tropical drinks with a beautiful view of the boats in the marina.

  • Old Key Lime House - an easy stop on your cruise north from Hypoluxo, enjoy fast service and tasty takeout with tons of nutritious options.

  • Frigate’s Waterfront Bar & Grill – an excellent choice for delicious food with an unbeatable waterfront ambiance and easy takeout options on your cruise down from Palm Beach Gardens.



Bunces Pass Sandbar

This spot feels like a hidden gem. It’s peaceful, perfect for nature lovers, and often less crowded. Dolphins and shorebirds are common sights, and the clear waters make for fantastic swimming.


How to Get There:

Launch from our Tierra Verde location and head west past Shell Key toward Fort De Soto. The sandbar is between the two islands, just off Bunces Pass.


Nearby Restaurants:

  • The Island Grille & Raw Bar- Just a stone’s throw from the Tierra Verde Club, with a menu featuring fresh seafood and classic American dishes.



Beer Can Island

This popular destination turns into a lively gathering spot for boaters who want to relax, swim, socialize, and soak up the sunshine.


How To Get There:

Launch from our Tierra Verde location and head south into Tampa Bay. Travel under the Longboat Pass Bridge, then loop around to the east side of the island.


Safety Tip: This island is located near a busy shipping channel. Ensure to anchor on the opposite side of the channel so passing cargo ships don't displace your boat.


Nearby Restaurants:

  • Hula Bay Club- This is a popular Bayside spot for Hawaiian-style chow that features a lively poolside lounge and dockside dining.
